This week has been packed with things to do. Including working a few 12 hour days and whisking my kids off to visit a castle before school starts. I also had a doctors appointment with some great news.
Right before I found out I was pregnant I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s which is an autoimmune disease that attacks your thyroid. Since it’s rare and even more rare to have it active during pregnancy it’s been an adventure to say the least.
Thankfully I got news today that my levels are almost normal. This is such a relief as the thyroid gland is so important for both baby and mom. I can breathe a little easier and enjoy these last few months of pregnancy.
How far along: 26 Weeks
How big is baby? Baby at 26 weeks is as big as a butternut squash
How many months? Five months and about three weeks pregnant.
Maternity clothes: Yes, I bought a few fall clothes that I can’t wait to show you guys!
Stretch marks: A few
Bump: Is bumpin’
Sleep: I’ve been in an active Hashi’s flair up for the last few weeks so sleep has been few and far between. I did get some great sleep once we got back from vacation though.
Best moment of this week: Getting test results back that my thyroid levels are normalizing.
Miss anything: No
Movement: She’s always moving, especially when she hears her siblings and Father talking.
Food cravings: Spinach
Anything making you queasy or sick: Lots! I have to take medication and wait an hour before eating anything- I usually spend that hour being as still and quiet as possible to not anger the porcelain gods.
Have you started to show yet: YES.
Looking forward to: Seeing my baby <3
Until next week,
